“Life becomes precious and more special to us when we look for the little everyday miracles and get excited about the privileges of simply being human. – Tim Hansel

My Feel Good List  (vol. 1)

I was inspired to do this list after reading the Happiness Project’s various tips and ideas on what can make one happier. Most of the ideas are not expensive or elaborate but simple, satisfying and enjoyable. I’ve always believed it’s the little things that bring us happiness and smiles to our lives and generally make us feel better. Life does not come with a guarantee or a schedule so why not appreciate the little things that make a difference.

I keep on hearing on the radio, Eliza Doolittle’s  new song, Pack up, but never really listened to it, until today. It’s great to hear a pop song with a certain depth, different and provide enjoyment. Love the guys voice singing in the chorus 🙂

I get tired, and upset
And I’m trying to care a little less
And on Google I only get depressed
I was taught to dodge those issues, I was told:
Don’t worry, there’s no doubt
There’s always something to cry about
When you’re stuck in an angry crowd
They don’t think what they say before they open their mouth, you gotta

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
And bury them beneath the sea
I don’t care what the people may say
What the people may say bout me.
Pack up your troubles get your old grin back
Don’t worry about the cavalry
I don’t care what the whisperers say
‘Cause they whisper too loud for me

Hot topic,
Maybe I should drop it,
It’s a touchy subject,
And I like to tiptoe ’round the tiff going down,
You got penny, no pound
So if your business is running out
It’s not my business to talk about
They don’t think what they say before they open their mouth, you gotta

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
And bury them beneath the sea
I don’t care what the people may say
What the people may say bout me
Pack up your troubles get your old grin back
Don’t worry about the cavalry
I don’t care what the whisperers say
‘Cause they whisper too loud for me

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
And bury them beneath the sea
I don’t care what the people may say
What the people may say bout me
Pack up your troubles get Your old Grin back
Don’t worry about the cavalry

‘Cause they whisper too loud for me

front door

One of my neighbours replaced her front door with what was supposed to be a better one – a ‘solid’ double glazed door. When I asked her if she was happy with the result, she pointed out a few problems, but she seemed very puzzled with one thing… “With all the glass why is there a ‘peep hole’ on the door?” All I could do was laugh. 🙂 But honestly WHY?

Is this just bad design? Do they just follow the ‘template’ and put it there because that is how they have always designed front doors?
